UNESCO World Heritage sites belong to all the peoples of the world, irrespective of the territory on which they are located. Our cultural and natural heritage are irreplaceable resources. We live with these treasures today, as we pass them along to future generations.
This on-line teaching tool was created by the World Heritage Alliance for Sustainable Tourism, a partnership between Expedia Inc. and the United Nations Foundation.
The purpose of this teaching resource is to empower Alliance members to promote World Heritage to visitors, while learning to adopt responsible, sustainable tourism practices.
